"I work alongside families as a coach and help them celebrate each step - no matter how big or small. I see myself, the child, and the child's family as a collaborative team."
About Me
I am a family-oriented speech and feeding therapist with over 17 years of experience serving children from birth to young adulthood. I have worked in a variety of settings, including early intervention, schools, home health, outpatient clinics, and inpatient pediatric hospital settings such as the NICU and PICU. Formerly, I served as an outpatient pediatric feeding specialist and program manager for NYU-Langone before deciding to start my own private practice.
I am also a mother of two children - one of whom was a picky eater. I know what it feels like to think you are 'failing' as a parent because you can't ensure that your child is getting the nutrition they need to grow and thrive. While that experience can be scary and isolating, it's my goal to step in and support you in creating enjoyable, stress-free mealtimes.
Personally, I enjoy traveling, reading, knitting, doing crossword puzzles, and spending time with my family. I am also known for researching current trends in my field or browsing for fun therapy ideas in my spare time!
Advanced Education & Training
I am a life-long learner with advanced training in feeding, oral motor, and speech-language disorders. I am also certified in neurodevelopmental therapy (NDT) - a holistic and hands on approach to treating motor control issues. I have been the recipient of ASHA's Continuing Education ACE Award five times within my career, and I am always taking advanced courses to bring the best treatment methods to each family I serve.
